Rosie Vega Honored With President’s Merit Award

Calaveras, California – Paratransit Services held an awards ceremony on 7/20/23 to recognize Rosario (Rosie) Vega for receiving one of this year’s President’s Merit Awards. The President’s Merit Award was established to acknowledge employees for outstanding performance and contributions from the different operational sites of Paratransit Services.

Rosie has been with Paratransit Services since April of 2015. She started out as a driver, but was promoted to a dispatcher / trainer position in 2017 where she has made a huge impact on the daily operations in Calaveras. Rosie takes great pride in her work, routinely going above and beyond to prepare our drivers for the road. This is reflected by the road performance and overall safety record of the Calaveras Connect staff. Additionally, the CDL testers have reached out many times to share how impressed they are with our trainee's skills and knowledge. This is all thanks to Rosie’s unmatched commitment to our team’s safety and performance.

General Manager Cynthia Lawrence had this to share about Rosie:

“Rosie is an exemplary Team Member, she is self-directive, maintains standards, looks for improvement of processes, takes action when appropriate, dedicated to safety protocols, trains people for success and takes pride in her work product.”

In attendance at the ceremony was President/CEO David Baker, who presented the award in front of many of Rosie’s fellow staff members. Also in attendance was General Manager Cynthia Lawrence, who made sure to note that Rosie's talents are not limited to training as she is an artist too. Rosie incorporates safety and moral building in her artwork around the office. Cynthia shared that the staff look forward to her holiday art windows. The drivers and passengers love the art, which provides value for all who get to enjoy it.

Paratransit Services is committed to making a difference each day in the lives of our employees and in the communities we proudly serve. It is an honor to recognize Rosie Vega for exemplifying the heart of service and excellence that Paratransit Services stands for!
