Willows Team Recieves President’s Merit Award

Willows, California – During the past year, across all of Paratransit Services locations, our staff have worked tirelessly to provide quality coordinated service to all the communities we serve. One team however, from our site in Willows, California, stood out for their extra efforts and commitment to service. Kurt Royce, Carl Slaughter, and Michelle Wehe are a trio whose dedication was recognized on September 16th . All three were awarded the 2021 President’s Merit Award during a surprise ceremony held at the Paratransit Services office. The President’s Merit Award was established to acknowledge employees for outstanding performance and contributions from the different operational sites of Paratransit Services.

Michelle Lange, General Manager of the Paratransit Services site had this to say about the three of them;

“Each one of them goes the extra mile even though days were long. Our service and safety was always a priority”

The Willows team has been very dedicated, juggling their time to make sure all services are met. Working as a team, the three of them would cover each other to make sure that all routes both fixed and dial-a-ride got finished, even if that meant working extra hours. Their commitment did not go unrecognized. During the ceremony, awards were presented by EVP/COO Christie Scheffer in front of fellow employees.

Paratransit Services is committed to making a difference each day in the lives of our employees and in the communities we proudly serve. It is an honor to recognize Kurt Royce, Carl Slaughter, and Michelle Wehe for exemplifying the heart of service and excellence Paratransit Services stands for!
