Willows, California – On October 19th, 2026, Paratransit Services recognized administrative assistant Pamela Harris from our operation in Willows, with the 2025 President’s Merit Award. The President’s Merit Award was established to acknowledge our staff for outstanding performances and contributions from the different operational sites of Paratransit Services.
Paratransit Services is proud to recognize Pamela for the excellence she brings to Glenn Ride every day. She joined our team in November 2023 as a full-time dispatcher and volunteer medical coordinator. Beyond her core duties, she worked diligently to redesign our daily reconciliation forms and invoices so they would be easier for everyone to use. Her dedication and willingness to go above and beyond earned her a promotion to administrative assistant in March 2025. In that role she now manages both the Volunteer Medical Program and Dial-a-Ride. She reaches out to local agencies and senior communities to make sure residents know about these programs and how they can benefit. Pamela has helped with many events promoting Glenn Ride across the county, and she proudly represents our site at gatherings like the Senior Resource Fair and the Veterans Stand Down. She has even given her own time to volunteer for The Wall That Heals in a neighboring town. No task is too small for her.
Each Christmas, she brings the whole team together by writing up the year's accomplishments for our site and crew, then turning it into a festive jingle or a hip-hop rap. Pamela's hard work, community spirit and creativity make her a true example of excellence, and we're grateful to have her on our team.
General Manager, Michelle Wehe, had this to say about Pamela;
Pamela's positive attitude and commitment to excellence makes her a valuable asset to our team. I have found Pamela to be dependable, efficient and unfailingly punctual. I have never worked with someone who gives as much attention to detail as she does. She is witty and compassionate and a wonderful asset to the Willows team. She is a hard worker and deserves to be recognized for what she contributes to our team.
The awards ceremony was held at our Willows office, with President / CEO David Baker presenting Pamela with her award via ZOOM. Also in attendance were General Manager, Michelle Wehe, and Road Supervisor, Gabriel Lopez.
Paratransit Services is committed to making a difference each day in the lives of our employees and in the communities we proudly serve. It is an honor to recognize Kurt Royce for exemplifying the heart of service and excellence Paratransit Services stands for!
