Paratransit Services Recognizes Gail Conn with President’s Merit Award

Medford, Oregon – On September 15th, 2025 Paratransit Services recognized Gail Conn, from our operation in Medford, with the 2024 President’s Merit Award. The President’s Merit Award was established to acknowledge our staff for outstanding performances and contributions from the different operational sites of Paratransit Services.

Gale began her time with Paratransit Services in February of 2013 when she came on as a driver. Through her years of service with us, Gail has demonstrated high levels of accountability and leadership. She is always friendly with her fellow staff members and encourages those around her to be the best they can be. She is a consistent advocate for safety and is always has a positive attitude at the office.

General Manager, Jason Ligons, had this to say about Gail:

 “I take great honor in nominating Gale Conn for the 2024 President’s Award. Gale is reliable, accommodating and beyond funny. When Gale arrives for work, she is here early, ready to go. Her work ethic is highly admired. She is always willing to pick up extra shifts when we are struggling with staff numbers and she is a valuable asset to our Paratransit Services team. She speaks with new hires while she is in the driver room to help "get through" to new employees. She offers them her knowledge of the program and wants them all to succeed. She is also a consistent advocate of TARGET ZERO. She comes up with ways to make herself noticed of her support for TARGET ZERO. Although, sometimes silly, her support keeps the campaign fresh and relevant to all of the drivers.

Gale has a deep desire to give her clients the best service possible. She gets concerned when she hasn't seen a particular client in more than a few weeks, asking me if I have heard from them or know if they are doing ok. I truly believe that if I did not have Gale on my staff for one reason or another, that I would not enjoy my job as much as I do with her being here.”

The awards ceremony was held at the Medford office, with President/CEO David Baker in attendance to present Gail with her award. Others in attendance included GM, Jason Ligons, fellow employees and members of the corporate office who joined the celebration via ZOOM.
