Patti Stecher Recognized with 2025 President’s Merit Award

Red Bluff, California – On September 16th, 2026, Paratransit Services recognized administrative assistant and dispatcher Patti Stecher from our operation in Red Bluff, with the 2025 President’s Merit Award.  The President’s Merit Award was established to acknowledge our staff for outstanding performances and contributions from the different operational sites of Paratransit Services.

Joining Paratransit Services as an administrative assistant in January of 2017, Patty became part of our team right away. She has managed the METS volunteer driver program. She takes calls from clients, matches each ride with a volunteer driver, and tracks every volunteer's mileage and reimbursements. Patty also enters drivers' hours from their timesheets into the payroll program. She checks that time-off requests are correct and that the right leave is applied for payroll. She handles all accounts payable processing and passes it to Accounting for payment. She takes care of all the mailing and does the banking when needed. She also keeps all employee files in order and files leave requests. On top of all this, Patty is our backup dispatcher. She answers the phones, takes questions about the TRAX buses, and books rides for our Dial-A-Ride program.

General Manager, Sharon Young, had the following to say about Patti,

Patty is our organizer for events, feeds us delicious food when she brings in lunch for everyone, and makes sure that the office staff get their offices “decorated” for birthdays and special events. I can count on Patty for everything being accurate, on time and efficiently handled. She always looks great and dressed professionally. This lady deserves an award for being the amazing person she is and for all the help she has given to everyone in our team.

The awards ceremony was held at our Red Bluff office, with President/CEO David Baker presenting Patti with her award via ZOOM. Others in attendance included GM, Sharon Young, fellow employees and members of the corporate office who also joined the celebration via ZOOM.
